BOURJOIS - Velvet The Lipstick - Review / Swatches

I was kindly sent the new Bourjois velvet the lipstick collection to review. If you want to see actual lip swatches you can watch my YouTube video HERE

I'm going to get straight into it with the packaging -

I really like the packaging of these lipsticks. They're small, sleek and you can see what shade you're picking up.

They retail for £8.99 each & you can pick them up for any drugstore. I have linked each shade below!

There is 12 shades and they're all beautiful! I was surprised that I liked them all as I'm not usually a pink lip person.

I think these shades would suit all skin tones apart from the lightest shade (Hey Nude) in my opinion because on me it looks like the no lip/concealer lips lol unless I use a slightly darker nude lipliner.

The lipstick itself is sooo nice. I would definitely say they are velvety which when the lipstick is called 'velvet' you would expect it to be..

It's so smooth and glides on, no patches and although its a matte lipstick, its not dry.

When you first apply the lipstick you'll notice how pigmented they are! They also have a slight shine to them but will dry matte.

In my package I received a lipliner which is was unsure of as it is a "universal lip liner" meaning you can use it for any yes any lip colour. I t has no pigment.

It was kind of hard to apply as you cannot see where you have put it and to be honest I don't think it made a difference but I liked the idea of it.

The new "high precision bullet" actually makes it so much easier to apply and because its at an angle I find it glides on much smoother.

BAKING | The BEST cookie recipe you will ever need! | Chocolate Chip Cookie

I N G R E D I E N T S

3/4 Cup of sugar (Caster / Granulated)

3/4 Cup packed light brown sugar

1 Cup of butter or trex (trex veg fat is BEST)

2 Tsp of vanilla extract
1 Large (free range) egg
2 & 1/4 Cup of plain flour
1 Tsp baking soda
1/2 Tsp of salt
As much as you like of chocolate chips!

Heat your oven! 180˙c
Beat your butter or veg fat with both sugars until light & fluffy.
Add your egg & vanilla. Beat until combined.
Add your flour, baking soda & salt. Mix until combined.

It will be stiff! Thats what he said..

If your mixture is too stiff meaning it doesnt stick together. You can add a small amount of milk ( 1 tsp) just to help it come together... I rarely need to do this BUT it helps if that happens. Too much milk will ruin your dough by making it too wet, keep it to a minimum!!

Now its time to make some balls... ☺️

I get a small amount of dough and make a ball shape roughly the size of a golf ball or slightly smaller.
You then need to place them on your baking tray which i line with baking paper.
Leave some space between each one! about an inch or 2.

You can leave them in ball shapes or you can flatten them into discs.

TIP Any dough left over you can freeze for next time!

Bake for 8 to 10 mins! the longer you bake the more crunchy they will be.
(I like mine chewy and soft so i bake for 8 mins)

Leave for a few mins then move to a wire rack to cool!

because of the coated slight shine to them, almost leather look, these boots look so nice.

I would definitely recommend these boots, and if you do want to get your hands on some remember to buy your actual size!

I mentioned this in a video of mine HERE where i had trouble knowing what size to buy for my bf. All reviews kept saying to down size. Even the guy in the timberland shop told me to down size by half a size....

If i did that they would be too small for my bf and i.

I HIT 3 MILLION VIEWS!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw my video hit OVER 3 MILLION VIEWS!

It was My super curly hair tutorial if you didn't know 😱

What I find quite funny is how I'm actually not a massive fan of this video. I felt like I could have done a better job with it, my makeup was awful.. I could go on.

I'm so proud of myself and the video for achieving such amazing views, I never NEVER thought it would do that well. Thank you to everyone who supported it.

Of course it wouldn't be youtube without getting some negativity but the positives really out do those negatives.

I did mention that I wasn't and still not very good with hair tutorials. I just can't get the right angle and I'm lazy with my hair as it is lol

Yes, there was also the down side of having racist comments to which I just delete because they're all ignorant uneducated pricks!

BUT, overall I am so happy that I achieved that MASSIVE goal of hitting at least 1 mill... let alone 3!

WOW, I haven't been on here for so long!

I know a few times I've come back to say I wanted to start blogging but never did.. soz.

I have just been busy with my YouTube channel and personal life...I have a job outside of this which take up my time too.

I guess I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to start blogging again.

At the moment I don't have a scheduled but I will try to blog once a week or basically whenever I can!

I upload every Monday on my Youtube but for whatever reason I can't I always let you know via Twitter.
