BAKING | The BEST cookie recipe you will ever need! | Chocolate Chip Cookie



I N G R E D I E N T S

3/4 Cup of sugar (Caster / Granulated)
3/4 Cup packed light brown sugar
1 Cup of butter or trex (trex veg fat is BEST)
2 Tsp of vanilla extract
1 Large (free range) egg
2 & 1/4 Cup of plain flour
1 Tsp baking soda
1/2 Tsp of salt
As much as you like of chocolate chips!



  1. Heat your oven! 180˙c
  2. Beat your butter or veg fat with both sugars until light & fluffy.
  3. Add your egg & vanilla. Beat until combined.
  4. Add your flour, baking soda & salt. Mix until combined.
It will be stiff! Thats what he said..


If your mixture is too stiff meaning it doesnt stick together. You can add a small amount of milk ( 1 tsp) just to help it come together... I rarely need to do this BUT it helps if that happens. Too much milk will ruin your dough by making it too wet, keep it to a minimum!!

Now its time to make some balls... ☺️

I get a small amount of dough and make a ball shape roughly the size of a golf ball or slightly smaller.
You then need to place them on your baking tray which i line with baking paper.
Leave some space between each one! about an inch or 2.

You can leave them in ball shapes or you can flatten them into discs.

TIP Any dough left over you can freeze for next time!

Bake for 8 to 10 mins! the longer you bake the more crunchy they will be.
(I like mine chewy and soft so i bake for 8 mins)

Leave for a few mins then move to a wire rack to cool!
