Tutorial: How to get HD brows!

I get a lot of compliments on my brows. I have a typical Persian eyebrow. They are quite thick, dark and strong shaped. Not everyone can pull this kind of eyebrow off if they don't naturally have it.
The first thing you need to do is work out how your brow should look to suit your face.

You then need to pluck / thread and trim your brows so there are no unwanted hairs and that it is completely clear and neat to your desired shape.

Products used: Rimmel eyebrow pencil, Mac embark shadow, Collection concealer.

^This is my brow just after i plucked and trimmed.

^Fill in your brow / shaping them. I dont need to fill too much.

^Use concealer that is roughly/the same shade as your foundation around the brow.
Don't get too close to the hair. You can use a shade lighter but it can look more like a halo
(highlight) rather than concealing.

^Use a concealer brush or as im using here a small foundation brush to blend the concealer.
Do this carefully.

^This is what it looks like once blended and finished.
I haven't done them too concealed for this tutorial but you can make it even more concealed.
I think for every day make-up this is best..

It is that simple and doesn't take long to do!

Mac stud eyebrow pencil dupe for dark brown / Black brows - Review

The best dupe for Mac eye brows in 'Stud' is the Rimmel London eyebrow pencil in 'black brown'.
It is exactly the same colour and texture as the mac one but a whole lot cheaper!

For someone like me that has jet black eyebrows, or even someone with dark brown brows, it can be hard to get the right colour pencil for our brows.
As i have black brows you'd think i would need a black colour pencil, but no! That would be the worst thing to do, although i have black brows, even for me a black is too harsh.
We need the darkest brown shade without a warm undertone - eg redish undertone isn't what you want as it will look weird. You need one that is just dark brown, no undertone.

As you can see they are both exactly the same. The reason why the mac one isn't as "neat" and smudged is because i have completely run out of it so i had to try and scrape some off to swatch.

MAC: I like the mac one because it has a small tip so it comes off as a fine line. I don't need to fill in my brow that much as they are thick but i like a sharp look.
You twist it rather than sharpen which is good as you don't waste product but i also don't like it as you can't see when its going to finish.. It lasted me around 6 months, there are a few days where i don't wear makeup but i did used it a lot. Price is £12.50 (Back to Mac product, so don't throw away!)

RIMMEL: I like this as its exactly the same as the mac one. They only difference is its a slightly thicker tip because its a pencil, but thats not really a problem.. and as it's a pencil you need to sharpen it. OH and its only £2.99!
Because its a pencil you get a lot more product, i can see this lasting me a long time, but i do also feel like sharpening does waste some of the product as you sharpen, that cant be helped obviously, and for how long the pencil is, it will last a long time anyway, so its ok.

The reason i went for the Rimmel one instead of repurchasing the Mac pencil is because of price.
I felt like £12.50 was too much to spend again when i can get the same thing for £2.99. I'm saving a whopping £9.51! lol

Best liquid highlighter - Benefit High Beam review

Benefits high beam is by far my favourite liquid highlighter. It's £19.50 which does seem pricey but for the amount you get and the quality of it, I thinks its so worth the money.
There's nothing worse than putting highlighter on and it's not shining, or fading away so quickly. This stays and shines so nice on the skin.
You only need a few small dots of it and blend, so a little goes a long way but its also buildable for extra shine.

I'm not overly keen on benefits makeup, there is a few things i like but its not a brand i go for much as i just prefer other brands as a whole, so i normally stick to what i like or try their samples.
I definitely HATE their "flawless" foundation but thats another story...

It has a brush applicator which i like as its flexible. The colour is a light pinky/silver, they do have a more golden one called sun beam if you don't like the silvery highlight, but i personally think that one is better for dark to black skin tones.
I use this on the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, the cupids bow, (forehead) a small about in the middle near my brows so its not too shiny and small amount on my chin.

This is what it looks like blended in. My hands are a bit darker than this, the flash has made my hands look white but the highlight does look shiny on the face like it does here.
I love it. If i'm doing a full face of makeup then i will definitely be wearing it. If i'm just wearing basic / minimal makeup then i don't wear it as often but it still looks nice either way.
By far the highlighter is the best, and just makes all the right places shine and look beautiful and glowy, i feel like i've just come back off holiday haha if that makes sense.

What your opinion on it?

Urban Decay Naked vs Naked 2 palette review

Comparing Urban Decay's most wanted palettes, the "Bloggers" favourite Naked and Naked 2 palettes.

I love both of these palettes and i would definitely recommend them!
They are both priced at £36, i was lucky enough to get discount on them from my mums friend so i was like yesssss! because they are quite pricey.

Packaging on both are nice and pretty sturdy, which is great for travelling too, i took the naked palette with me when i went away and it was fine. Only thing about the naked palette is the gold writing can rub off.
Naked comes with the best eye primer EVER! (A mini version) when it runs out i will be purchasing it and im sure it will probably be the only one i will ever use, it keeps your eye shadows from creasing, actually works!
Naked 2 comes with a mini lip gloss which i tried and hated. Its a nice colour and texture but i HATE the smell! It smells like strong mint, it makes me feel sick. I hate mint smells and flavours normally anyway, but this is just wrong for a lip gloss, i think.

Naked / Naked 2. With flash.

Both come with a brush, and naked 2 is double ended.... ;) lol
I actually don't like these brushes, i think the bristles are too hard, but that really doesn't matter.
There are more shiny / metallic colours than matte, so if you dont like metallic colours then these palettes wont be for you.

Both taken with flash.
Naked 2 is darker than naked, so if you prefer darker colours naked 2 is better for that, but they both are very nice palettes.
You can do a lot of different looks with just one palette which i like, especially if you are travelling but can only travel light, one palette is enough.

They have such great pigmented colours, Bootycall and Virgin are good highlight colours, Naked, tease and buck are great for crease transition colours, i have been doing that a lot recently.

Let me know what you think of these palettes. Have you tried them, or want to try them?
I definitely recommend !

Maybelline eraser foundation review.

Maybelline eraser foundation - Instant anti-age "age rewind".
THE WORST FOUNDATION EVER!

This foundation claims it instantly erases crows feet/any fine lines and dark circles.
*That is not true. It actually makes it look worse.
The applicator is a sponge click. You twist to click the foundation out through the sponge.
I find that the applicator just makes it look streaky and wipes away the foundation rather than a stippling/buffing it into your skin. It doesn't always come though enough, so you click a little more and then it comes through too much.. there seems to be no control.

The colour range isn't great, and i found that they all seem to have an orange undertone to it.
I got the shade 010 ivory and its still an orange undertone, which isn't a great undertone for most people anyway..

The foundation itself is so bad! Its very oily looking, it feels oily to touch and feels oily on the skin.
Everything you dont want in a foundation, even if you have dry skin its going to be bad.
I feels like i have been sitting i the sun with foundation on for hours, and i've only just applied it to my face, thats how it feels.
I put it on once and took it straight off again it was that bad. I then left it about 2 weeks and tried it again but still awful, i was just hoping it was going to be ok the second time around but nope!
If you do end up using this you will NEED to set with a matte powder to try make it look less shiny and oily looking, and to make it not slide everywhere... but even then it will still feel horrible on the skin.

I just hate this foundation and wish i never bothered trying it. At £9.99 its pricey too. Its such a shame as Maybelline is my favourite high street makeup brand.

Have you tried this?

MAC Archie's Girls collection and Mac 217 brush review

Mac Archie's girls collection has arrived in the UK and i just had to get my hands on it!
I really like this collection. The packaging is cool and the colour range is nice too.
I bought 4 things from this collection and a Mac 217 blending brush, and this is going to be a review on them.
For anyone who doesn't know, Archie's Girls was a comic book.

So this arrived today (which was great as i was in a crap mood, couldn't get Beyonce tickets...)
Anyways, don't you just love the packaging!? I don't want to throw away the boxes lol

As for the 217 brush, its a good blending brush, blends very nice and i personally think its the only decent mac brush. Im not a fan of their brushes or prices! This was £17. Sigma is better and most brushes start at $10.

This pigment is from the Betty range, its called Cheers my dear! Its a light lavender colour, very shimmery but buildable, and soft! I love this colour for the eyelid, then darkened at the crease. I can do a tutorial?
This was pricey at £18, now sold out online.

The lipstick range is quite nice, i wanted boyfriend stealer in veronica's range but it was sold out online, might be able to get in stores.
I chose two lipsticks, one in Veronica's (Ronnie red - Matte) and one in Betty's (Betty bright - Satin). Both £15.50 each.
I love the packaging, especially Veronica's because i love the hair!
Ronnie red is more of a raspberry red colour, its a matte finish but not too drying. Some mac matte finishes can be really dry, i found this one to be nice.
Betty bright is a weird one, as you can see it looks coraly/peach but transfers onto the lips as more of a bright pink, but in certain lights can look coral. I'm not too bothered by that but i would suggest trying on in store before you buy if you're not keen on the idea..
The swatch on my hand looks completely different to on my lips, its like i have swatched the wrong lipstick, but i haven't! And as usual it smells good too :)

Veronica's pearlmatte face powder blush, Lovely colours, although swatches didn't show up as well as they do in person. It is £21.50.
It's a really nice highlight shimmery blush, looks great on the skin, and i think will work with any skin tone. There is another one in flatter me, which is peachy, but i just prefer the silver highlight base of this one, plus i don't have a blusher like this.

I would like to do a makeup look with these products.
Let me know what you think.
Overall my favourite range would be Veronica's, because of it's darker colours. Betty's (as with the character) is bright and girly, which is nawt my thang!
